Cognos Analytics 11 Workspace is a Web-based tool allows you to use IBM Cognos content and external data sources to build sophisticated, interactive workspaces. A workspace allows you to quickly complete a wide variety of tasks such as viewing and interacting with reports and collaboration as well as sharing information.

Cognos Analytics 11 Workspace provides you with knowledge of the basics of dashboard creation using IBM Cognos Analytics. You will be introduced to Cognos Analytics layout and functionality while gaining skills in creating interactive and informative dashboards. Then you will then identify data sources, customize content and presentation. Additionally, you will learn how to save a dashboard, open a dashboard view in order to interact with it, and share dashboard content with other users.

You will create dashboards that will present simple, clear visual, high-level answers to business questions. As a result, your dashboards will be making data accessible and easy to understand for consumers at any skill level. They will be centered around the use of visualizations, perhaps the same visualizations also available in Cognos reports, but presented in a strategic (summary) way rather than a tactical (granular) way. In a dashboard, everything you create is centered around data being visually summarized.
