The Cognos Multi-Dimensional Reports class will focus entirely on creating Cube based reports by using multi-dimensional functions. Students will learn how to “crawl around a cube” to glean valuable insights from the cube data. Students will learn to use dimensional techniques such as filter, slicers and filter functions.
Cognos Multi-Dimensional Reports teaches you how to report on cube data as it changes. Examples of this would be seen with the implementation of YTD (Year to date) or Previous year same day. Dimensional functions can give you the functionality of reporting on data that would be difficult to do on relational data.
